2. How to Set Up Samsung Galaxy SmartTag

- Use "Search Nearby" to detect the signal strength. The green area expands as you get closer.

- Use "Navigate" to open the location in Google Maps for GPS guidance.

- Tap "Ring" to make the SmartTag emit a sound until you find it.

4. How to Remove a SmartTag from SmartThings Find

  1. Open the SmartThings app and go to the SmartThings Find card.
  2. Tap "More options" (three vertical dots) and select "Show/hide devices."
  3. Deselect the SmartTag and any other devices you want to remove, then tap "Save."
  4. To fully remove the SmartTag from the app, go to "Menu," select "All devices," tap "More options," and choose "Delete." Confirm by selecting the red minus sign.

5. How to Change the Battery in Your SmartTag

The SmartTag uses a CR2032 coin-cell battery, which typically lasts about a year. To replace it:

  1. Insert your finger or a flat object (like a guitar pick) into the notch at the bottom of the SmartTag and gently pull to open the cover.
  2. Remove the old battery and insert a new one with the correct polarity.
  3. Snap the cover back into place.

Check the battery level anytime in the SmartThings app under "All devices."

6. How to Reset Your SmartTag

If your SmartTag isn't responding, reset it:

  1. Open the SmartThings app, go to "Menu," and select "All devices."
  2. Choose your SmartTag, tap "More options," and select "Information," then "Reset device."

For a manual reset:

  1. Open the battery cover and remove the battery.
  2. Press the button on the SmartTag, then reinsert the battery while holding the button down.
  3. Hold the button for five seconds, then release. Snap the cover back on.
