- Navigate: If the SmartTag appears on the map, tap Navigate to view its location on Google Maps and use GPS to reach it.

- Ring: Tap Ring to make the SmartTag ring continuously until you stop it. Adjust the ring volume (low, medium, or high) in the SmartThings app.

3. How to Use Your SmartTag to Find Your Phone

Double-press the SmartTag button to make your phone ring. Ensure the Find your phone feature is enabled in the SmartThings app. Note that your phone must be connected to the SmartTag, and other devices linked to your Samsung account may also ring.

4. How the Galaxy Find Network Helps Locate Your SmartTag

If your SmartTag is outside the 120-meter BLE range, the Galaxy Find Network can help locate it. Other Galaxy devices act as Find Nodes, detecting your SmartTag's signal and sending its location anonymously to the SmartThings server.

To enable your device as a Find Node:

  1. Open the SmartThings app.
  2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines).
  3. Select SmartApps.
  4. Tap SmartThings Find.

You can also enable offline finding in your device's settings:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Biometrics and Security.
  3. Select Find My Mobile.
  4. Tap Offline finding.

5. Checking Your SmartTag's Battery Life

Your SmartTag uses a coin cell battery with up to 300 days of battery life. To check the battery status:

  1. Open the SmartThings app.
  2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines).
  3. Select All devices.
  4. Tap on your SmartTag.
  5. The battery level will be displayed.

Note: You cannot turn your SmartTag on or off. It turns on automatically when the battery is inserted.

6. Why Your SmartTag's Location May Not Be Updated

If your SmartTag's location hasn't updated, it could be due to:

- A completely discharged battery.

- No Galaxy Find Network nodes nearby.

Use the Ring feature to help locate your SmartTag more easily.

7. Can I Use My SmartTag Abroad?

Yes, SmartThings Find is available globally except in Japan and China.

8. Supported Samsung Devices

SmartThings Find is compatible with Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and wearables, including Galaxy S24, Galaxy S25, Galaxy S26, Galaxy Z Fold, Galaxy Z Flip, and Galaxy A series devices.
